School Leadership Team

Every NYC public school has a duly constituted School Leadership Team, comprised of administrators, teachers, other school staff, and an equal number of parent representatives. These constituencies work together to:
  • set focused educational priorities for the school
  • develop school-based educational strategies
  • serve as a link between the school and the community
  • evaluate the quality of the school's educational program
  • and develop a budget that supports the school's educational goals

The SLT meets monthly. Parents who have questions or suggestions for the SLT may leave a message in the main office or contact any member of the team. Members of the school community may attend and observe SLT meetings. Arrangements to speak at a meeting should be arranged beforehand. Click here for a PDF of the SLT By-Laws.
