P.S. 154 READ-A-THON
BEGINS JAN 8, 2018
Each class that reads the most minutes in their grade gets a special visit from Principal Havlik, and the top reader from each grade gets an individual prize, too. Students also enter the bookmark contest–the winning bookmark in each grade gets printed for the entire grade. Collectively, our students raise over $9,000 during Read-a-Thon 2016.
Now in it's third year, this adults-only event takes place in Shepard's Hall in nearby Holy Name Church. It is a community-wide, multi-tiered, fast-paced, evening raffle event featuring over 300 different prize, food, and adult beverages! Parents, teachers, and neighbors come together to support the school.
CLASS ART PROJECT AND AUCTION
FEB AND MAR

PS 154 celebrates National Poetry Month with every student contributing to our school wide PTA-sponsored poetry journal. We then invite students to read their poetry, or a favorite poem, on stage!
