Due to parent-teacher conferences, Thursday, November 3rd will be a half day of school. Our After School will be running a special half day program for K - 5 grade children. However, because of extremely limited space, we can only accept 10 children per grade.

1. Registration is only open to families with children currently enrolled in Thursday extended day.
2. The half day program begins at school dismissal and runs until 6:00pm. (No late pick ups!)
3. Registration via JackRabbit will open Thursday, 10/20/16 at 9:00am and close on Monday, 10/24/16 at 6:00pm.
4.  If more than 10 families register in a grade, we will randomly select 10 students via lottery for that grade.
5. Families will be notified on Tuesday, 10/25/16 about whether or not they have a spot for the day.
6. The fee for each child is $35. (There is no scholarship exception or sibling discounts.)

Kindergarten and 1st Grade

Our K & 1st grade kids will have a fun-filled afternoon at Hootenanny Art House (428 15th Street between PPW & 8th Ave). Children will walk to Hootenanny with PS 154 A/S staff for art, dance, and music. Time and weather permitting, they may have a special stop at the Harmony Playground then return to school for pizza and play until the 6:00pm pick up.

2nd & 3rd Grade

Fun with Pete & Sean! Lucky 2nd and 3rd graders will play indoor and outdoor games with Sean & Pete for our special half day program. Activities will take place in the lunch room, our school yard, and in Prospect Park (weather permitting) followed by pizza and play at PS 154 until 6:00pm pick up.

4th & 5th Grade

4th & 5th graders will join Ms. Barbara and our staff members to tour the Wild Bird Fund facility on Columbus & 86th in Manhattan. The WBF is a non-profit organization that provides rescue services for birds and small wildlife.  Kids will see rehabilitation and dorming services for injured animals. Our group will travel via subway. They will return to school by 4:00pm for pizza and play until 6:00pm pick up.
