Open to children from all schools.

This program is a great opportunity for your child to make new friends and have fun!  For rising kindergarteners, Summer Friendship offers an especially warm introduction to public school spaces, easing the transition to school in the fall. For our older campers, Summer Friendship offers a fun and engaging way to meet new peers and make lasting friendships. Daily activities for all students include, arts and crafts, music, trips to the park playgrounds, team-building games, and dynamic movement enrichments, all designed to help the campers strengthen their social skills and have a great time!

Our daughter, Sophie, had a great time at camp. The instructors were caring and really fun. Highly recommend!

When my son started K at PS 154 I was immediately impressed by the professionalism and thoughtful approach of the staff of the afterschool program. I found their execution of Camp Friendship to have the same focus on social development, enrichment and fun as the afterschool program does. My son has not been a huge fan of camp so far, so I only signed him up for 1 week at Camp Friendship but he loved it so much we stayed for all three weeks! Camp Friendship is a nice small scale for little kids who may not be ready for a long bus ride or to be in a camp with huge groups of much older kids. The kids at camp friendship are well supervised by people who are really paying attention and they engage in a nice variety of activities from water play to nature walks. Over the course of the week they work on a single art project that is really high level. I hope this camp extends to rising second graders next year, because our whole family loved it!

He’d previously tried a big popular camp and he was miserable — it was too hot and too busy, and he hated riding the bus. Camp Summer Friendship is more low-key, but totally age-appropriate. I was impressed with the range of activities and projects, and most of all, thrilled to have such a happy kid!

Our daughter loved the camp, and woke up energized every day excited to get there. She’s fairly shy and, as a 4-year-old heading into a new school, we were slightly shocked at her enthusiasm. This was great…let’s hope her kindergarten teacher can lasso this momentum.

My son loved Camp Summer Friendship at PS 154! He learned new things like capoeira; he made amazing art projects; and he made new friends. His exact words were, “This is the best camp ever!”

Clara brought her artwork home yesterday and we are so impressed!! She said she did it herself. We couldn’t get over it - this will be the first artwork we frame! Thanks again. She had a great week.
