ATTENTION: FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WITH INDIVIDUALIZED EDUCATION PLANS (IEPs)

Your teacher will be emailing you a letter from Principal Buckley with a link to a very important survey. It is very important that every student with an IEP has a parent or guardian fill out this survey. This anonymous, internal survey, for which only Mr. Buckley will have the complete results, is designed to help PS 154 become better aware of parent and family experiences for those families with children with IEPs. If you need the link to the survey, it is below. Please fill out one survey for every child in your family who has an IEP.

SOCK DRIVE — THANK YOU!

We had a fantastic turnout for the first of our School Spirit days! Not only did the kids have fun wearing their Silly Socks to school, they learned about helping those less fortunate by donating socks for families in need. Thank you for your generosity!

Today, we are collecting donations of winter hats for adults and children that are brand-new with tags and original packaging. We will send these to a local shelter. Your children can drop off their hats to the MMR.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

All New York City residents with children born in 2013 can apply now to kindergarten until January 12, 2018 one of three ways (PS 154 does not handle initial registration.):

GENERATIONS CAMPAIGN

This campaign aims to share all the incredible PTA funded programs that our children benefit from with your family. We do this by collecting names of grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles and special friends to whom we make a one-time annual fund appeal. Please give us contact information!

AROUND THE CITY

School Crossing Guard Recruitment

The district is hiring crossing guards. We love our school crossing guards, Susan & Veronica, but sometimes they need to be out and the city doesn’t have enough staff to send backup. If you or someone you know is interested in applying, you can find out more info here.
