PS 154 Community Equity team
Our Equity team meets monthly to plan school and community events. Please be on the lookout for information on our next meeting and/or event. We would love more community members to get involved. If you have any questions please reach out to mbuckley@ps154.org.
Mission
The mission of the PS 154 Equity Committee is to help parents and staff learn about, discuss, and take action toward creating a more equitable local and global community. The kinds of inequities we hope to address include those that involve race; gender identity; and economic disparity. Our goal is to elevate the voices and stories of people from historically marginalized groups, including BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color); LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer); and Disabled / Differently Abled. Our goal is to learn from one another and our fellow parents, acknowledging that we are not experts.
