OUR PTA
EVERY PARENT/GUARDIAN OF A CHILD WHO ATTENDS PS 154 IS A MEMBER OF THE PS 154 PTA.
The PTA of P.S. 154 Brooklyn is a collaboration of parents, teachers, administrators, and support staff within our school community. The PTA serves an important fundraising, communications, and at times, problem-solving role for our school. It organizes and supports PTA-funded programs that benefit our students, and a number of events throughout the year to raise funds and build community.

BOO BASH - SATURDAY OCTOBER 21st

Afternoon of crafts, student performances, games, and food
Teacher experience raffle
Live and silent auctions with amazing prizes

Winter Fair Event Chair

Work with other experienced leaders to organize our parents-only event in the early Spring. We need to train a new leader for this fun event!
2 Event Food Managers
Each person heads up food for 2 of the 4 events (Boo Bash, Winter Fair, Raffle Mania, and Spring Fling) and assists with the other 2. Plan the menu, get food donations, shop, prep, and supervise the volunteers.

AMAZON SMILE
Instead of typing in amazon.com, go to smile.amazon.com and choose “PTA of PS154 Brooklyn Inc.” as the charitable organization you want to support. You’ll find the exact same Amazon site, except that .5% of your purchase will be donated to our PTA. Be sure to bookmark the link so you’ll remember to use Smile, rather than the regular Amazon site, every time you shop. You can also pass on this info to grandparents and other family and friends who might like to contribute.
MABEL’S LABELS
These personalized dishwasher- and washer/dryer-safe labels help keep your kid’s clothes, backpack, lunchbox, and containers from going missing. Go to www.mabelslabels.com, click "Support a Fundraiser" in the top right, and select “PS 154 Brooklyn” and they will donate 20% of your purchase!
FAIRWAY COMMUNITY PARTNERS
If you shop at Fairway, be sure to present your Community Partners card at checkout and they will donate 3% of your purchase to our school. Plus, look for info on quarterly “Double Days” when the donation is doubled.
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Find the “Box Tops for Education” logo on dozens of products. Clip the logos before you throw out the packages, collect them in a Ziploc bag (be sure to take out any expired ones), and leave them in the bin in Ms. Guzzi’s office. Our PTA submits them twice a year for a donation.
TEA SCHOOL DAYS
Keep an eye out for info on these online promotions that run one week each in the fall and spring with Tea Collection, a children’s clothing retailer. We’ll send out a special promo code that will get you 15% off—and a 15% donation to our school!
SHOPAROO
Download this app on iTunes or Google Play, and use it to snap and send photos of your grocery receipts. Stores will donate to our school for each photo sent.
