HELP WANTED: TEACHER/STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK

Every year our school rallies to cheer on and celebrate all of the teachers and staff at PS 154 who work so hard to make our kids' school an incredible place to learn. This year, we will celebrate Teacher/Staff Appreciation during the week of May 6-10. We need parent help to get all of our ducks in a row. If you are interested in helping us organize and execute an amazing week for our teachers, please email Lisa Rochlin at rochlin_L@yahoo.com. No amount of time is too little. Even an hour of help will go a long way.

Family Friday - Special Friend or Family Day

Fri, Feb 8, 8:35 - 9:15 am

Mark your calendars! PS 154 welcomes your child's special friend, grandparent or yourself in their classroom for a very special Family Friday. (Please note, there's not enough space in the classrooms for more than one or two family members per student.) Students and their guests will work on a project that helps the students identify all the strengths they have to draw upon. This is the project if you want to take a look.

RSVP to Catherine Zinnel atczinnel@council.nyc.gov

From Brad Lander’s Office: “On Wednesday January 23rd, the New York City Parks Department will discuss potential upgrades to the two green spaces on either side of the Ocean Parkway Service Road. Last year Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and I allocated $650,000 to refurbish the sitting area on East 8th Street and the park on Sherman Street, and at this meeting the Parks Department will update us on their plans and listen to your suggestions for how to improve these spaces. We will also share updates on the different development projects in the “Stable Brooklyn” area, including the rezoning of nearby 57 Caton Place, and the preservation of Kensington Stables.”
