PTA EXEC BOARD & SCHOOL LEADERSHIP TEAM NOMINATIONS
THURS, APRIL 20 8:30am

PTA EXEC BOARD:
We have a number of open positions! Won’t you please help out? We currently have NO nominations for our two new Treasurers, a Chair of Operations, a Chair of Marketing and Communications, a Secretary, and a Chair of After School. Also—you can run for ANY position, regardless of whether nominations have been submitted already. More information about the nomination process is here, and more information about each position is here (starting on page 6) Questions? contact Jane Bliss Birk, the chair of our Nominating Committee.

SCHOOL LEADERSHIP TEAM (SLT) COMMITTEE:
Parents, teachers and administrators work together on School Leadership Teams (SLTs) to make important decisions about their schools. This is a school steering committee that identifies and discusses issues such as curriculum, school procedures and policies, and future growth. It is composed of the principal, the PTA president, a United Federation of Teachers representative, elected parents and teachers who meet monthly. Meetings are open to all. There are three open positions on the SLT for the 2017-2018 school year. Your obligation is to attend a monthly meeting at 4pm on rotating weekday afternoons. Please come to the April 20 8:30am PTA meeting to toss your name in the hat if you’re interested. Questions? please contact Debby Wattenbarger, and if you already know that you want to be nominated, contact our Nominating Committee Chair Jane Bliss Birk.
